I'm playing tonight, Sat., Feb. 10, with Buck McCoy at Joe's Great American Bar & Grill in Burbank. Filling in for great player Kirk Brown.

High energy country, and reportedly no cover charge, that's about all I know. Music starts at 9:00 p.m.

I'll be playing my first gig with Tom Bradshaw's new Webb amp, come check it out. At home I'm getting killer tone: open back, open front ports, far right on tone selecter knob, and oddly, it sounds better with the EQ switched in, something I almost never do on the vintage Webb. We'll see how that changes on a live date.

Hope you can make it!

All best,
John McClung

No big, Jim. The band seemed to enjoy my playing so I hope to be back on their next gig there in March, no specific date yet.

Buck McCoy is a very high energy singer/lead guitarist, we did lots of rocky stuff, and man was I glad I play extended E9 with all those low E power chords under my fingers!

Local great drummer Owen Goldman was on the gig, it was great working with him again.

The new Webb sounded great, and 2 students who attended agreed.

I want thank students George Saer, and Ian Riddell and his wife Melissa Moss, for coming out to my gig last Saturday. Hope you had a good time, maybe even heard a couple of licks worthy of borrowing! Smile
