Saw this for sale in the local ad's, all it says is they are selling their dads guitar, it's a Sho-Bud, and these small pictures

Any guesses as to what model it is. Also, are old original Sho-Buds manageable/playable? Is it worth $1300 (that's a subjective question I know). I'm going to go look at her.

Thanks

Bill, to me, it looks like a Professional. I think the decal actually reads "The Professional". Judging by everything I've heard and read about this vintage, they're good guitars. However, I'll defer to the Sho~Bud experts on that.

Keep on pickin'!

Hi Bill
Yep, definately 'The Professional'.
At that sort of price, if it's all there, and functions, it's a steal !.
particularly as it looks like the sho-bud vol' pedal is with it.
Go get it !!!!!

Yes. Early 70s D-10 Professional. I had one and liked it very much. I've emailed seller for better pictures with no reply. I think a serviceable Professional with 8 +4 at $1300 to be an OK buy.

Thanks, like I said I'm local so I'll run by and take a look. I'll take my digital cam and if for some reason she doesn't appeal to me I'll send off the photos to you fella's

I already have an old Emmons, and was kinda looking at S10 Zums and Fessendens for a newer all pull guitar that didn't take tinkering under the hood so much.

If it is right it wont require much "tinkering" Dont let that stop you from getting a Great sounding guitar.
