Hey Tommy,

There are some great steel pickers in Central Florida. Shouldn't be too hard to catch one of them playing. Too bad your not driving down with time to spare, you could stop by the panhandle for a visit.

Hope all is well,
Jim

If you are still here, come up to Catfish Johnny's today. We have a weekly Tuesday "jam show" that starts at noon.

It's about an hour north of Tampa at I75 exit 321 and then west about 3 miles. There's a map on our club web site. www.floridasteelguitarclub.com

Never know who will show up at Johnny's jams. Last week Bobby Bare and his bass picker Lee and drummer "cueball" came by and did about 30 minutes. Back in November George IV was there and I expect him again this month since he has a bunch of bookings here in Florida in Feb. I look for Joe Edwards to come by too, as he's in Florida and usually drops in and even joins in on the jam. Lynn Owsley usually drops by when he's in Florida as he stays at the Calhoun's tourbus complex about 15 miles from Johnny's. Although Lynn won't admit it, I think he likes playing my Franklin.
