These types of stands have three legs -- I'm thinking about getting one for my Shobud frypan thru Scotty's (assuming after measuring it that it's comparable to the Excel)--sorry to hijack, David, but it's a good bump for you.

My equipment:
One heck of a Wife
The ghost of a red Doberman
Several pairs of reading glasses strewn about

All, I'm sure you're correct when you say "These TYPES of stands have three legs"
This SPECIFIC one MAY only have two, and two is all I can see.
Why doesn't David answer my question ?
To Reiterate :-
David, I know to anyone that knows, this may seem a 'Silly' question :- How many legs has the stand ?

Not home
Sorry Basil -
I am on a business trip and don't have it in front of me, but as I recall it has three - if you need an immediate answer you can call Scotty's in St. Louis - thanks!

It's curious that the owner doesn't know how many legs his guitar has! (????)

Jim is correct
Jim - you called it! It's called three kids+60 hour work week+trying to sell a buttload of equipment (and find space for the rest)+a bit of gettting older. I guess you could summarize by saying by G.A.S. is abating but perhaps being replaced by a bit of A.D.D.
Anyhoo, to settle the record, the guitar has three legs, and the stand is made by Fuzzy (Excel). It's really a cool little unit - but between the above and trying to practice my dobro...haven't had much time to play (or even to look) at it.
Hope that 'splains my ignorance of the leggedness of the steel. BTW, the item is sold, so b0b you can close this one up and I'll paypal you a donation.
Andy - BTW I really enjoy your book, it sits right by my couch and has provided not only an education but lots of drooling about some of those axes....
