Carter-Starter Case???

Post by Sam Camden »

8) OK! My CS arrived last night. I opened everything up and took a look. COOL! :D However, that "gig-bag", if you can actually call it that, that came with it has got to be a joke, RIGHT!?!?!? :x That thing barely qualifies as a dust cover.

Is there a case available, or even a decent, well padded gig-bag, for this guitar???? If so, what and where? Any help that ya'll can provide would be most appreciated.

I'm taking it to my steel player this evening to have him go over it. I'm almost afraid to take it out in that sorry excuse for a "gig-bag".

Please excuse my little rant here. But this bag??????????????

Look, I've got nothing but good things to say about CSs - I'm sooo glad I started out on one - it was a sure fire bet.

It was packaged great - the carton itself makes for convenient enough transportation, I reckon - came out of the box well tuned equivalent (I've kept that WTE tuning system) and really well presented ...

except for that gig bag. I was almost too embarrassed to send the bag onto the new owner when I sold the guitar. Would be a much classier package all round if that were left out.
IMHO

I ordered mine from the Carter folks. I think it cost about $100.00 bucks at that time. John

Carter Starter Case

The bag was bad. I got a sheet of plywood and made a nice case with suports, a place to pack my volume pedal and a small box to store picks and padded it good. It works for me :

The first guitar I had came in a guitar cardboard box, the box was angular shaped and that is what I carried it in for about 2 years until I got me a real guitar and a real amp, "Alamo" guitar it had a real genuine cardboard crappie case. Both of them was beginners deals and thats what comes with them. As time goes on and you get to the real guitars it will get more better. I promiss. You can get a good case, Fred will make you one or if you ain't going to haul it around much, stick with what came with it.
