Basihl,

Not certain who this player is but maybe it is Hank Corwin. I have heard of him for years but never seen the man or a pic of him.

Wish I could help you out.

I got this Guess

I saw your question on the forum. I believe it is Butch Cornwell. He is a regular on Scotty's talent show in St. Louis and plays in the side rooms. A great player

Chuck Sherman who worked for Shot Jackson for a time, and played for Faron for short duration, sits like the player pictured behind the steel. He also plays a single 12 Sho-Bud, like the one shown. The problem is that the beard makes it hard to be sure. That shirt the player is wearing, should have left a lifelong memory for the sake of identification. Chuck can be seen jamming around Florida during winter months, and in the state of Maine during the warm seasons.

Looks like the picture is somewhere in Texas. Anyone recognize the back drop? That might be a start.

Baz, between the whimsical-sounding pseudonym and the expression "Bang on", unfamiliar on this side of the pond (could be parallel structure to "spot on" or "Dream on"), it was easy to miss the meaning, though it's clear now.

Mr. Bowman, I'll have you know that I haven't been that slim since high school, and besides, I can't even impersonate a bass player! Bb
