FOLSOM PRISON DOBRO

Post by Roy Thomson »

This is a Thumbstyle Solo on the bluegrass tuning
H-LOW....... D--B--G--D--B--G
If I had a 7 stringer the bass string would be "dropped" D
so that the fifth tone could be alternated between the
fourth and seventh strings.
Anyway hope it's of some interest/inspiration to
the Dobro Pickers. Here's the link to MP3:

That sounds great Roy. I'm always impressed by your expertise in so many different musical styles and I can always count on you to surprise me with something different and unique. Keep up the good work ole buddy.

Thanks Andy, Gary....
Adding the thumbstyle to Dobro/resonator
guitar is a fun way to play and can become
a great tool for Soloing.
I do several songs in this fashion.
If you are interested in an introductory lesson
or two on line.....contact me for details.
