Please check out Mike Black's post in "Our Extended Family".

Tom's wonderful music has inspired me to strive for improvement in my own life and music. Thank you, Tom. God Bless you and yours.

Mr. Morrell is definitely one of the most talented nonpedal steel guitarists I've seen play. Thanks for sharing this news with us, for those who don't visit the other areas of the SGF.

Samples of Tom Morrell's Playing Available Here

I discovered Tom Morrell through some guys that knew him in a round robin tape club about 6 years ago. I was very impressed with his abilities.

I understand he is in critical condition, so he and his family need our prayers.

Aloha, Smile

This is truly devastating news to me. I've always thought Tom did things on steel that seemed impossible to do without pedals, and his band and arrangements have always been so great. A sad day, but miracles do happen, so I'll keep hoping.

Steve, What a wonderful choice of words. Don, I've actually worn out some of the CDs in that series and had to replace them. I'll always regret not getting the chance to see him perform live.
