Bennett lap steels

Hi

Does anyone have any opinions/info on Bennett laps? I can't find a site for (Ron) Bennett's guitars.

I quite like the idea of getting a UK made 6-string - if the steels're good, that is (I'm sure they are ...)
Is the string spacing good for behind-the-bar pulls, for example? Is the pickup good? What's the scale?

Any advice'd be very welcome, thanks.

BTW He also make 'Mighty fine' pedal steels.. Most economical, keyed or keyless, 10 or 12 string.
