Rickenbacher NS project parts
It seems there have been a few salvaged and rebuilds of these lately. The body I won on Ebay is in very good condition but missing some parts including the nut, bridge, and pickup mounting brackets.
I DO have the proper pickup for this (chrome magnet?) but no screws/hardware for it. Any one have any extras for sale? Knobs too. Auction on eBay.
[This message was edited by Brad Bechtel on 09 April 2006 at 04:12 PM.]

You're gonna LOVE that thing when it's done. I'm having so much fun with mine - the tone is unearthly.
Glad you could get the parts. If you run into any hangups I can give you dimensions for the nut and bridge, which could each be cut from a chunk of ebony.
Are you going to refinish it? I can't quite tell what condition the paint is in (sorry, I didn't read the hole description).

Hi guys,
I haven't posted in ages, but I just picked up an empty bodied NS yesterday for $30. Fortunately, I also bought the Tele that has the pickup from the Rick. I plan to pull the pickup out and put it in its rightful owner, but the biggest need I have is dimension on the nut and specs on the wiring.
Your help is appreciated!
Thanks, Sutton

Tell ya what Loni, the NS project I did was a lot of fun and the tone of those bodies are fantastic. Prepare to fall in love when your done. I'm DYING to get my hands on a NS body again. I put a P-90 in the one I did, and even with that (as opposed to a horseshoe) the sustain and clarity was "other worldly" So are you going to take her stock looking or far out?

I'm embar assed to admit I have not done a thing with the steel other than re-tap some stripped mounting holes. All I need to do is make a nut and bridge and wire it up. Probably just put some Fender Tele knobs on it.
I was thinking about stuffing it with Confederate money and losing race track tickets to give it more soul. What do you think?
