Ain't it a steel solo that starts at 1:28 on Patty Loveless' song How about you? It sounds like a hammer on-pull off thing on open strings with pedals AB down to me, but our guitarist insists it's a guitar solo.
What do you say, boys and girls?
A cheeseburger is at stake here because of a bet.

HE HE HE!!! I thought the only Pickers using AB pedal Down Hammer on/Pull Off was us Cajun pickers trying to keep up with Joel Sonnier's Accordion playing 99 MPH or Picker's playing Bluegrass Banjo rolls.
Sure sounded to me like something I had heard done years back by a steel player playing with a Boogie Grass group about 25+ years back . Never did get that Steel players name but he was super fast and super clean. Sounded like he was pick blocking before it became popular. _________________ Daniel J. Cormier

It starts with pedal steel for 4 bars ((Paul Franklin unless I'm mistaken), then the guitar comes in for 4 bars. The solo ends with pedal steel. |
