Fender Dual Pro tuning pans
Hi Greg. I have a couple of old pans that are stripped and are somewhat rusty, etc. Also the crossbar is the wide one where most pans have a square crossbar. I just repaired my old Fender D8 tuners and let me tell you it was a job but I did it and also plated the pans. Regards. Paul.

I took my rusted tuner pan off the guitar and soaked it in a bowl full of WD-40 for a couple of days. Then with the help of a toothbrush and some gentle scraping most all of the rust came off. I then applied some 30wt oil and the tuners work real well . What ever you do DON'T force the tuner to move, you might strip the gear
