This one went to Japan to some lucky guy who got a bargain at a much lower price than the current trend would indicate..

I'm guessing the issue is the non original finish?I was following that auction as well and was surprised by the price. The finish did look like the real thing in the pictures but up close might be another story...?

I was watching this on eBay and it seemed to stay below the asking price for so long and then the auction seemed to end before its due date.

Wow -- looks just about exactly like mine. I absolutely love it, although, a lot of the jobs we play now are in such cramped places, I can't use it anymore, and can only use my lap steel. I've thought about selling it, but then I play it in the living room, and fall in love all over again. I guess I'll have to resign myself to the fact that it's going to just remain a living room/studio steel.

That person in Tokyo got a great deal on a great steel!

Someone got a bargain. Be sure to wrap those legs well, they can work loose in shipping and cause nicks.
