The accompanying photos are of horses and kids at a place that rescues both: they use cast-off horses to help abused kids.

Darrl, what a great post,it is good to see the kids and the horses having a good time.I will be in Mesa for the SWSGA show Jan. 24 to 28, where is the ranch at from Mesa?

The ranch is a couple miles out of Santa Cruz/Soquel/.

You could swing by there on your way to Mesa, and then go back to I-5 and go south

Or you could go down the coast. the best way to avoid LA is to take Hwy 126 from the coast over to I-5

Darryl, thanks ,I will have to go and see the ranch, it is only about 50 miles from my home. Are you coming to Mesa for the show? thanks for the email back.

I'll be there.

I don't know what days and times the ranch would be open. It probably says on the site. They probably have to be careful about the horses injuring somebody, and about supervising all of those kids.
