I have had people asking for pics of my new P/P. (I kinda want to brag too) Anybody know why the little "Model D-10" sign is on there?
Yes, It sounds as good as it looks. (If someone else plays it) Very Happy

Perhaps to remind you in case you forgot? Confused

Seriously, when you say "new" does this mean they're making them again?

Mike, It is only new to me. It is a 1976 model.
Rick, Thanks, You ought to hear it.
Mike, Bought it from Jay Thompson in Il. Who I feel might be a little off for selling it. Smile
I still am interested in the little tag. It seems to have been on there a long time. Factory maybe? Floor model at a dealer?

The suspense was killing me. Under the tag is a big fat nothing. Not even an ugly scratch.

This might be a stupid observation but some of the strings are wound to the inside and some to the outside, is this so they line up with the roller or am I doing it wrong. All mine are wound from the hole to the nut or tuner.

Don,
Wind the strings on whichever way lines them up straight with the roller. You don't want side strain on the roller.

Good idea, that tag looked really cheesy which is totally out of place on such a nice looking guitar!

This guitar was purchased from a music store operated by Dave Musgrave, in Dallas, TX by a Bill Wilson of KS, and later purchased by Gale Kirkland of Missouri. I bought the guitar from Gale. When purchased new, this guitar was blue. After many years the color changed to an pitiful green(As you have seen many LDG's change). The owner, Gale Kirkland, decided to change it to black. When he remoned the Model D-10 plaque it was the original blue color underneath. To further support it came from the factory with the plaque on it, the plaque is made of the same material as the pick up top plate. The guitar was refinished to the present color red last year. Regards, Jay Thompson
