Hello Guys,
I just joined about a week ago. Would have sooner but I just found it. I'm not much of a computer type guy but I think "The Forum" gonna change that.
If you guys don't mind, I have 2 questions about your opinion.
I have a old D-10 Sho-bud Pro III that needs work or maybe a complete restoration and have been looking for someone for the job. (That's how I found The Forum) Anyway I'm told that
Duane Marrs/Nashville is one of the best. I've called him a he sounds like a great guy and knows what he's doing.
The Question: What do you think. Is he one of the best? Would you recommend him or someone else?
I'll keep it simple and ask the second question in a few days.

| Yes, he's definitely one of the best, especially for older Sho~Bud's but certainly for any pedal guitar. Go for it. |

You are on the right track with Duane Marrs..or you could buy a new Steel that has YOUR last name on it !

someone else to talk to about it would be Bobby Bowman , ask anyone and they will tell you 3 things about Bobby
1 he does great work on any steel
2 he is one of the best players anywhere
3 he is a super nice fella

| Yes, Marrs is certainly one of the best at restoring or updating Sho-Buds. He can give it a complete modern undercarriage. Another expert at that is John Coop (he is on the Forum), who has duplicated the original parts with better material. |

Duane worked for Sho-Bud and many of the innovations in the Sho-Bud came from Duane or Paul Franklin. Duane would be an excellent choice.

Just from my personal experience: Carter Steel Guitars recommended Mr. Duane Marrs to me, to work on an old ShoBud Maverick, so I could trade it up. I called Mr. Marrs, he quoted an exceptionally reasonable repair price, and he did just what he said he would do, including professionally tuning the beast.
No doubt, Bobbe Seymour has the solid reputation, integrity, knowledge, and skills to repair your steel at a very reasonable price...I'd say it's just a matter of choice on your part.
As many Forum members have written in the past, a most important consideration is to be sure to carefully pack your guitar for shipping, or have it professionally packed at UPS or other company.

| Bob, I started taking my Pro-II to Leon Roberts in Tallahassee when I was living back home in south Georgia. He does great work and he is on the Forum as well. |

I have met Duane, and occasionally get parts from him.
Nice people at his shop.
