Selling Sho-Bud

Im Selling my 1968 Sho-Bud crossover,my heart is just not into the pedal steel. what price range are the crossovers selling for?thanks for any info!of course I will offer it here first and donate to the board!thanks again for any info

My first pedal steel was a Sho-Bud crossover. It is a fine steel, but over-engineered and a more complicated mechanism than today's steels. The original pickups gave a great Sho-Bud sound.

Is everything on your Sho-Bud all original, and working properly?
How is the finish on the body and metal parts? Case condition?

All of these items will help determine the value. An all original instrument, even with dings and tarnish will usually bring more, at least to a collector (and there are many out there), than one that has been re-finished, re-engineered, and re-newed.

There are always plenty of people ready to run down what you have and then try to buy (steal it) from you just to re-sell at double or triple what they gave you. That's life.

If everything is in original and in great condition, I think at least $1600 is a good starting point. You can always try e-bay.

it is original except tuners.everything works,has original case and look very good but does have some checking in the laquer all in all very nice cond.6ped,1k.

I sold mine for $1,100; I couldn't get any more than that for it, this bunch of tightwads... original and gorgeous...
