He Stopped Loving Her Today. Learning to play in sharp and flat keys is a GOOD thing. Lot's of Pete Drake style bar shimmer here. I played the piano and string parts on a cheap Yamaha keyboard but they were recorded in stereo. Intro is tabbed out along with a few general purpose riffs that can be used in a lot of songs. Complete song is included also but it is a LARGE file!

Click here to hear part 2.
Click here to hear the complete song(large file!).

Great stuff again, Greg; I should live so long as to learn a portion of all the tab you are putting out here...now it's too many choices on what to work on first, or next, or........keep it coming, thanks so much...Stan

Stan,
Amazingly enough, since everyone is moving away from the crying, whining steel style, there's still a lot of interest in the older style I'm posting here. I did post some different sounding stuff today and I use a lot of distortion and effects when I play live but most people here don't care for that. There's a huge traditional steel following in Europe also that I got when I sold my record collection on Ebay. Most experienced players know all the stuff in these posts but it seems there's a lot of newer players that are seeing all of this for the first time so it's new and exciting to them. In any case, it will all end up on my web site for reference later. The advantage of viewing it here is that one can see all the comments, explanations and links to complete songs that are not on the web site.

Greg,
I'll bet I speak for a lot of people when I say thanks for all of your posts. I'm downloading them and learning from them.

Great stuff Greg. Being a senior citizen, I play the older style of pedal steel and your tabs are really helpful to me. Keep it coming.

Greg,
I love all of the swing and blues stuff you are putting up. Some rock would be nice too if you have any. I love the old stuff and I personally think it is important to learn.
Keep up the good work!
