Any sound clips using PowerTracks BIAB??

Post by Doug Beaumier »

Does anyone have any clips, mp3s, of steel guitar recorded using PowerTracks with BIAB backing tracks? If so, please post links here or email files to doug@playsteelguitar.com

I'm very familiar with BIAB, but I've never used PowerTracks. Any comments about the program are welcome, Thanx!

Ok, I'll go first I guess. I used BIAB for the rhythm. When you click on the "midi" button next to the "wav" button you have the option of savin it to the windows clipboard which makes it very easy to open with PowerTracks. This is a recording I did while tryin to learn Sand. Once in PowerTracks you have full control over the tracks and even though my knowledge of PowerTracks is some what limited I was able to make a basic four track recording by recording my steel part and mixing everything down to my satisfaction. PowerTracks has lots of options and features that I've only scratched the surface of.
[This message was edited by Andy Sandoval on 15 September 2006 at 07:59 PM.]

Thanks Doug, I recorded that about a year ago. My BIAB is a 2004 version with the mega pak, not sure what number version they had then. I added Coyote Fortedxi which is a plug in that implements a high quality sample player and really made BIAB sound a lot better. Here's a link to a demo of Fortedxi. I tried a trial version of PowerTracks about 6 months ago and wound up buyin that too.

Doug-George Wixon has and excellent site on Power Track with BIAB. He explaines it very well, and even I am going to try it his way.
If I ever have the time to do it. I have Power Tracks 10 and BIAB 2006, so I can't blame it on the software.LOL...al
