Terry, sounds to me like it's probably your dialup connection, too slow. Sorry.

Jim Phelps, yes, all songs are "me" at the moment, "Sleep Walk" included,(sorry).
More musicians/songs will be added in the near future with their permission.

Terry Sneed, yes, it does seem that anyone having trouble now is due to the "dial up" connection. Is there any way in your area you can get Comcast, or DSL , something similar? Not only could you get all the steel guitar songs, but I feel your entire computer system should make you a lot happier overall with this type of connection.

I want to thank all of you that have posted here and for helping me with this testing.
More songs will be added this week, I'm sure you are all ready for that!

Thank you all,

I thought I recognized your tone, touch and style on Sleepwalk, Bobbe, just wanted to make sure. Of course I knew your version of Steel Guitar Rag right away! Whuddaya mean, "sorry"? That's one of the smoothest, prettiest versions of Sleepwalk. Sounds great, thanks for doing this for all of us.
[This message was edited by Jim Phelps on 07 August 2005 at 05:38 PM.]

For those with dial-up, you might try increasing how many seconds you buffer to a higher number, in your media player.

Coming in LOUD!(wow) and clear in Rhode Island, but my browser was suspicous about the apparent extra download needed to receive it and said it might be "malicious",but I accepted it as valid and it works very well.
I am on dial up with Earthlink and they periodically knock me off line these past few months while receiving any musical media,so I expect to have to reconnect from time to time.
Your signal is *strong*....very much so compared to other, similar media sources.
Sounds like you have an atomic powered server, there!Tone quality is quite good for telephone line dial up.

Bobbe-

Just listened to "Crazy" and "Crazy Arms".
Came in beautifully with my dial-up connection and Windows Media Player.

Thanks, I'll be listening!

It seems to work very reliably.

However, most of the tunes have that annoying hint of a flanger like sound, from the mp3 compression I think. Especially noticeable on vocals.

What is the streaming rate?

Hey, all you players and listeners, I appreciate all your great comments, this makes it all worth while.
We are still in a period of testing different ways of doing this, so there will be some lapses in the program from time to time.
We have realized the importance of doing this and how much it is appreciated by the steel world. We haven't even started with the programming plans we have for the future. As soon as the system is proven to be dependable, and we have setteled on the final way of transmitting this to you, great things will be coming your way.
Most of all I want to say how much I appreciate everyone of your positive comments on this project.
Even though all songs are mine and all playing is myself at the moment, more players and material is forthcoming.
Thank you great players of the world.

Bobbe, it's working great for me. I can hear the steel very well. Kinda reminds me of listening to a steel convention in my house. It works great on my laptop. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10

Many more very interesting things are planned for the "Steel guitar Nashville" steel guitar streaming in the near future, interviews, live shows, your favorite players in Nashville playing and sharing their steel secrets with us all.
The future looks bright. What will this all cost you guys? Nothing, all free, jes cuz I love ya'!
