A good "old" buddy of mine brought out an old Framus lap steel that he plays once in a while for some of the older songs that his band play, it came along with the original case which is O.K. albeit a little on the worn side with the covering missing in a few places.
On asking how old it is - he didn't know as he'd bought it used a number of years ago - but I managed to find some numbers that some of you guys might just be able to figure out and help him with.
They are:- 10256 - 66B

Hoping someone out there can help.

I've never been able to find out much about the Framus line of lap steels. Even Framus had no information. Good luck on your search!

Many thank's for the "come-back" Brad.
I was wondering maybe if the last part of the serial number would be the year and month i.e 66B =1966 February?
The last time I ever saw one of these was back in the U.K. possibly around that time.
