Hi,
I'm Thomas, a new member of this forum, from Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany.
I'm a guitarist (weekend player) in a swing quartet. After playing in the style of Django Reinhardt for many years I changed to the classic american swing styles of Charlie Christian etc. Since the other guitar player in my band came up with a ukulele. I was fascinatet by the idea to play lap steel for a couple of songs. So it all began...

Trying to get a 8-string instrument in Germany was impossible so I had one custom build for me. Now I'm very happy to play steel only in another band, a Honky Tonk Trio, were we do songs of Hank Williams, Hank Thompson, Spade Cooley, Glen Glenn, some Rockabilly etc.
Steel guitar is fun !

Welcome, Thomas.

I will be in your area with my band, The Moonlighters, in May and June. We'll be playing in Munich at some point. Hope to see you there.

...und auch noch ein 'Servus' aus Wien
- OK, switching back to English, your band sounds very interesting - kinda like the stuff I'm trying to do myself - if you are ever coming to Vienna for a concert, do give me notice!

Thank you all for the welcome!

Matt,
I don't have sound files of my bands at the moment. It's so hard to make a good recording.

Fred,
I like English beer too. Boddingtons "The Cream Of Manchster"
