Batteries for Fex Peavey Fex units
Batteries for Fex Peavey Fex units
Still got a bunch I do not plan on using. If anyone wants one they are $8.85 shipped to the lower 48. For more than 1, add $5.00 for each additional battery in the shipment.
Got 5 new ones left. Also 3 more that I put in for testing and took right out (still good as new). I had a unit that was not charging properly a while back, thought it was the battery! It was just a bad trace on the board (carboned over to another trace and was discharging the battery).

Also the battery-less memory mod is available at $23.85 shipped USPS Priority mail (or $25.00 paid by PayPal). Add $20.00 for each additional chip in the shipment. It is far easier to do than a battery! About a 5 minute job.
The battery replacement requires removal of the top and bottom covers, de-soldering and replacing the battery. Do not remove front and rear control panels!! Takes usually around 15 minutes for me to do (I have done prbably 150 to 200 batteries in the past, so I can do it pretty quickly).
With the new battery-less memory you remove the battery (just take off the top, heat and remove one end of battery and break of the rear battery tabs), remove the old memory chip from its plug-in socket, plug in a new chip and re-initialize. After that you re-load your settings from a card. Again, about a 5 minute job. I do not recommend this or the battery for folks not skilled with a soldering iron and/or IC chip handling procedures.
