missed the end of the convention

Did anyone else loose the End of Ron Elliot and the end of the Convention yesterday.

Yes. It was "service unavailable" for the end of Ron's set and at least a few hours after that.

I think I know what happened - Ron brought the house DOWN!!! Everyone was running out to vote him in as President. If that didn't cause it I really do not know what did. Maybe, just maybe it was because we tripped the 3rd server and went over 3 million! Whatever the reason, Ron's last song was America the Beautiful, EVERYONE was standing, and EVERY eye was on Ron. Once he ended the song, the entire audience erupted in applause and whistles. But no one moved from their seats and no one tried for a quick exit. The 2005 ISGC had concluded and much too quickly. Then we had to shut down SteelRadio to transport back to our studio. A sad moment yet one of elation - the ISGC was very successfull in many ways, not just attendance but in the support for fellow steel players, aspiring steel players, enthusiasts, and many prayers, concerns, and thoughts were shared for our fellow countrymen along the Gulf Coast. Thanks to Joe Wright and George L's, $2500 was raised in less than 15 minutes for the Red Cross Relief fund. That just goes to show you the kind of folks in the steel guitar family.

Tnank you Lana i missed very little. I did enjoy Ron Elliot very much i'm looking forward to seeing him live in Dublin.
