The Don Curtis Show re-broadcasts

Post by Don E. Curtis »

Well, even though we were not without problems we did record the show and plan on doing two re-broadcasts...
One on Sunday, July 4th at 9:00pm CT
One on Monday, July 5th at 2:00am CT in hopes that it's a good time for some of the foreign fans.
It was a good show featuring some R&R, Blues, Pop, BeBop etc...steel, both electric, acoustic, pedal and non-pedal with a couple very rare bootlegs. And a nice interview with Scotty talking about the recording of Buddy Emmons album Live at the Convention in '77.
Maybe some of our foreign fans could post about what some good times for re-broadcasts are to suit your leisure time schedule.
Thanks for your interest.

Don, Here in South Africa we are about 6 hours ahead of ET. The same applies for Europe, maybe 1-2 hours difference, depending on location. So if your show is on SUN 9:00pm CT, it will be early MONday morning on our time line. So the show will take us into work time.
If your show starts on MONday 2:00am CT, it will start during Monday working hours.

I suggest broadcasting at the start of the weekend, not at the end. This will allow us to stay up during the night and catch up sleep as well. Image

I did that for the Hummingbird show, and it worked well.

Peter, thanks so much for the input! It is just the kind of "feed-back" that we need. It's a little too late for this re-broadcast but it sure gives us some hints on when to schedule the show re-broadcasts...
We don't really know what times are good and there are so many time zones around the World.
If we can get some good times in mind we can run an International time schedule and try to accommodate more of our foreign fans.
Thanks!
Don

Don, I would not worry too much about time zones. Just divide the globe in the 3 zones 1: the US zones; 2: the European/African zones and 3: the Pacific/Asia zones. This will simplify your planning a lot.

I still think if you start at the beginning of the US weekend, everybody else may fit in nicely.

Good luck with your ventures and thanks for all your efforts.

Hi Don
has the sound quality gone down?
Or is there something wrong with my settings?
