How about instructions. I may be just dense, but I cannot play anything from this thing. I have winap and it loads and all I get are a few numbers when I click on listen. How do you ever get it to play?

I was having a problem with Windows media so downloaded the complete update and then couldnt get anything except an "invalid info" message.

After all that, I reset my "Realplayer" as the "default" and now receive the signal OK.

Merv, they are trying to iron out the kinks. I noticed yesterday that at the steelradio.com page there appeared to be two servers running. When i clicked on listen to: "WKRP.fm", then "steelradio.com" i think the numbers were different. One feed just dropped off. I went back and clicked the other and it was on. So try clicking each.

There can be a problem related to MIME type assignments in your browser. Before I installed WinAmp, my browser interpreted the listen1.pls file as a text file and simply displayed it. After installing WinAmp, the link worked.

In my Windows Explorer/Folder Options/File Types list, I see that PLS is listed as a Winamp Playlist File. Internet Explorer probably makes the connection there. Try adding that entry if it's not there and see if it fixes the problem.

I started listening to your show last friday when I read about it here.
Sure is great to hear some good music again.
I've passed it on to 6 of my friends.
Keep up the good work.

Rich, b0b, anybody,
I went into FILE TYPES and did find PLS. When I did a general search, a bunch of ones
[plsl1; plsl2] popped in a WORDPAD format.
These all are associated with MusicMatch
Jukebox. I removed MM Jukebox awhile back.

So I'm not able to access the radio station.
Do you think I can access it by putting back MM Jukebox? Or does the station have to be heard thru Winamp?

Thanks all for any pointers.

You have to have a program that will read the playlist. I don't know if MMJukebox will work. I'm finding that I like WinAmp better anyway.

Thanks b0b,

I guess I'll just put Winamp back on.

Well, I did put Winamp back on; went back
to FileTypes and changed the PLS file to open with Winamp.

All I got was: [ICY 401 SERVICE UNAVAILABLE]
