Steve,
That is Jon Graboff on Ryan's stuff. I'm on some cut some place but the main tracks are Jon. He sounds great on the new Willie CD also.

If I'd a-known we could dig up dead people and put 'em on stage, I might've gone for a young Joaquin Murphy and a speedy Speedy West. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

Billy, it's so hard to pick just three, because there are so many great players, with different styles....the three that have inspired me the most would be: Buddy Emmons, John Hughey, and Terry Sutton. Terry is from CT. He plays with a group (actually formed it) called Stone Canyon. He plays steel and fiddle for them. I replaced him as the steeler in a group in the northeast back in the late 60's and early 70's. I'd been playing steel about 4 months at that time....wow, man I didn't know anything back then. There are probably some players that would say I still don't know anything (lol). HAL

For the pure pleasure of sitting there watching & listening, would have to be:
Dickey Overby
Lloyd Green
Joe Wright
Never had the chance to see them 3 together at 1 time at 1 place.

1.)Bob Hempker- Truly one of the "unsung heros" of the instrument.

2.)Lloyd Green- What can I say about him that hasn't already been said. He was my first hero, and my first influence.

3.)Russ Hicks- Along with Mr. Green, a long time hero and influence.

There are many others I would like to hear, but the list would be far too exhaustive to print here.
