Well i finally took the plunge and joined the forum after lurking a year. Bought my steel about 7 mos. ago. You think 57 year old kid can learn to play this thing? Got burned out on playing music about 12 yrs ago. Had rotator cuff surgery last yr. and found this site. Rekindled my interest in music and now im addicted to this instrument. Now let the good times begin again. lol

Jerry, Welcome to the greatest forum on the web. No, 57 ain't too old to learn. Regardless of how much you learn or how fast, it's still lot's of fun trying. The steel is the most beautiful of stringed instruments,IMO and it's addictive, as you have found out. Lot's of luck and again, welcome!

Hi Jerry. What part of 'Bama are you from?

By the way, did Bill tell you that steel had only been driven by a little old lady on Sunday's? ...Better watch that guy. Image
