I just saw a program on the Educational Network featuring Marty Robbbins. Really a good show. I think it was taped in the Early 60's but not sure, anyway he did "Don't Worry About Me" and the steel player did a fantastic job on the break. Anyone know who the steel player was? He looks familiar but I can't put a name on him.
One thing that stood out on the show was the really nice and groomed hair. Not a bald person any around except in the audience. Oh well. |

I watched a 1 hour show about Marty Robbins on PBS last night.....there was a segment where he did "Don't Worry 'Bout Me" and the bridge was played by the steel player who had an Emmons push pull(probably a wrap around) and did his solo on the C6th neck without using any pedals.....but I did not recognize him......was way cool though!! |
