Thanks guys! I still go back and read my old GP Mags that had the Rusty Young "Steel Symposium" Column in them. There were also some nice full page ads from Sho-Bud and other steel companys from time to time!

I remember seeing Mike Daly ( plays steel for Hank Jr. ) featured in an article in Guitar player back in the late 1980's. It was in a column that featured "up and coming players". I got to meet Mike when he moved to Nashville and when I found out he came from Ohio I asked him if he was the same guy I saw in Guitar Player. He was surprised that I had seen the article and remembered it. I don't know how much the article helped him out but Mike is a great player and has played with some great Nashville bands. Not to be confused with the Mike Daily that plays with George Strait.
