Mike Headricks Tracks

Post by David Biggers »

Man has everyone heard the quality Mike Headrick puts into his r-tracks? Very high quality. Just like something you would hear on the radio from Epic Records or RCA Victor. Well I am very impressed. In addition Mike is a standup guy. I look forward to meeting and shaking his hand at the Dallas Convention. Thanks again Mike for the extra work and long hours you put into all of your CD products. They are worth every penny I paid!!!!!

Yep, Mike is a straight shooter. Not only are his tracks great, but his playing is superb also. If you don't have any of his stuff, treat yourself to an early Christmas present. My favorite is the Vince Gill tribute, Up To The Gills, with guest steeler John Hughey. He doesn't do bad work on a six string, either!

Don't miss Mike's instrumental tribute to Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman, "Steels on Wheels". 100% pedal steel start to finish - nice!

If Mike has ever done anything that wasn't 1st-rate, I've never heard it. I've got most of his products and they're great. I met him at St. Louis with a couple of my friends from Germany, and he is really a stand up guy. It was hysterical when he said that he didn't want to play in front of other steelers; that it makes him nervous.

Yes, I agree. His playing and sound is perfect. How does Mike get that large surroundasound reverb affect? Can't seem to find that on my RV5 or DD3? Any suggestions? James.

I have a home studio (small time on my computer)Nice mics yamaha mixer good software phantom power and sound cleaners and I can't even make it sound like 1980's old analog! He said he has a very professional studio. The real thing that is.
