I'll be in Nashville soon and I'll be looking for a place to hear some good steel. The clubs I've been to recently either don't have a steel or the guitar guy walks all over the steeler.

Any suggestions for good ole country stuff?

Go to the Station Inn and see the Time Jumpers with Hughey on the steel. I think they usually play on Mondays from 9:00 until ?.

Weldon Myrick plays every Saturday night from 7-10 at the Long Hollow Jamboree on Long Hollow Pike.

When we were there in March I think...we saw John Hughey on Monday night at the Station Inn..I think it was the Tuesday that John was on at Legends.....just wander the clubs on that side of Lower Broadway....should find Steel somewhere....I think we went to Sputnicks in Hendersonville on the Wednesday where Smiley was playing........we were with Smiley ..hence the Blur and uncertainty !!!!
Thursday Cal Sharp plays at Long Hollow Jambourie with my Buddy Joe Diamond......no idea what goes on on Friday ...but Long Hollow is a great place again for Sat night...good eats......Weldon on steel ...my friend Earl Earb on Tele and my Buddy Jan Jones on Drums
Hope this helps !!!
