Basic at Ft. Jackson, SC
Helicopter Maint. School at Ft. Rucker, AL
Jan.66 - Jun 67 - E Co. 701st Maint Bn. 1st Infantry Div. (Big Red One) PhuLoi, Vietnam. The only avation unit in The Big Red One. Lots of shot up choppers to fix.
Jul 67 - Jun 68 Irwin Army Depot, Ft. Riley, Ks.

Korea: January 1961-May 1962. 16 months at Camp Stanley, 11th Eng. Batt.

My Dad was in the Seabees during WW11. 2 brothers in U.S. Army. 3 sons in U.S. Army. 1 nephew in U.S.Army and 1 nephew in U.S. Marines.

Did any of you older vets serve with the Devil’s Brigade during WWII? My father belonged and spoke a lot about a battle called Operation Shingle. He was amongst a group of Canadians who fought along side an American & British contingent in the Battle of Anzio.
He was later shipped to England where he took part in the Battle of Europe.
Just wondering.
