Some Trivia !!

The time line of 56 0r later is a good one .
The reason I know this ! is the car Co. that
Cal Worthington bought was " Schlifers "
Chrysler Plymouth . My dad bought a new
55 Plymouth there , Cal didn't own it
at that time . I'm not sure when the show's
started ! It may have been as much as a
couple years later.
Cal used this program to bring people to the lot ,
It was a big deal ! and all the stars & want to be
stars could get air time and exposure . It worked
for the entertainers as well as Cal . I know I
sure enjoyed it when I could make it over .

Bobby White played that good back then. He left Thomspon for a while.Pee Wee took his place. Then Bob came back and they both played for a while.Then Pee Wee left it with Bobby. I'm not sure where Bobby went when he left HT the first time. So I'll guess Bobby White. Though I wasn't aware he ever worked for Wills.

I would guess Billy Mize also.

Not because of anything recognizable in the style, but because there is an LP called "Cal's Corral" containing performances from Cal Worthington's radio or TV show--whichever it was.

Billy Mize is known to be on that LP, along with other LA types like Sammy Masters, Gene Davis, Fred Maddox, Tom Tall, Tex Carmen, Billy Armstrong, etc.

I dont believe that is Bob Wills Band,
B Bowman did play steel for Bob Wills,
and other steelers,
I knew Bob White, and Pee Wee back then
and the tune, and style, sure fits Pee Wee
Also, could have been, B Bowman
