Please help me out
I have been nominated for instrumentalist for The Buffalo Music Awards. I am the only pedal steel guitar player in the category. If you can help me out here is what you can do. Go to www.bestofwny.com
Click on the Buffalo Music awards ballot. Enter your name and your email address in the window. An email will be sent to you with a link to click on to take you to the voting survey. You do not have to enter 66 selections. Go to the instrumentalist category and you will see my name. Just click on the dot next to my name and your vote will be registered. I thank you for your help. I am trying my best to promote steel guitar and country music here in western N.Y.
[This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 26 October 2006 at 04:09 PM.]

[This message was edited by Kevin Hatton on 26 October 2006 at 04:10 PM.]

I tried to log on to check out what is going on up in Buffalo.
I was denied access I suspect because I have a carolina.rr EMAIL.
I suspect the voting is for local patrons and not Nationwide.
We have these local BEST of down here too but it is limited to local Charlotte area voters.
Name , Address and phone number are required to place a vote.

Kevin,
You have my vote. I was nominated and I think won two of these awards (maybe not the nightlife one though) for bass. Its nice to be appreciated, but I don't really care for the competition emphasis some of these guys put on these awards.
Maybe if I can get a gig, I will be nominated for Best Non-pedal! I have been playing for hours every day since we talked on the phone last year. I might bring it out to a few Pete Worden gigs someday. It's a bit much carrying around an upright bass, 2 cabs, bass head and a tripleneck fender.
Keep in touch. Let me know where you are playing.
Tom

My vote is in. I've also spread the word around to some of my musical colleauges here in the Buffalo area.
In the words of another..."I pity the fool that don't vote for Kevin Hatton!"
