Our good buddy Steinar Gregertsen is the featured artist of the month on Rob Anderlik's great site. Be sure to read his interview with Steinar...Also has 3 clips from his new CD. Good to see Steinar getting some well deserved attention. Cheers, Ron

Steinar! Steinar! Steinar! I am not worthy (Lights his Bic)

Awesome tunes. Great to see the steel can transcend its roots. I'm a huge fan of mood music. Wish there was more of this kind of stuff on the airwaves.

Soapboax is back in storage now.

Hi Steinar,

I really enjoyed the cuts and the interview, your mix is nice and the use of tunings for "flavor" is really good. Very enjoyable, can't wait to hear the whole album. Congrats!

BTW, what mics and pres int the RME did you use?

Thanks guys!
Rob Anderlik plays dobro on forumite Dwight Mark's latest CD "Souls Engine", and is a great player,- I am honored to be featured on his site.

All mixes are finished now (they are not the ones featured in the article, that's some old temporary mixes), and I'll be sending them off to another forumite, Brad Sarno, for mastering in his Blue Jade Audio mastering studio.

Chuck, for acoustic recording I use a SM Pro Audio MC03 tube mic, and I have used a TL Audio tube preamp until a few months ago when it died, so my latest recordings (like "Will The Wind...") is direct through the POD and a Behringer line mixer. (Quite frankly I think it sounded better without the TL Audio.... )

New URL, it is now http://www.robanderlik.com/featured_artist.htm and the interview is not in .doc format any more, but printed on the site.

World tour??? Oh dear oh dear.... what am I going to do with this little heartbreaker, The Owl?
