Austin music?
Does anyone know where I can find some good old fashion live hardcore honky tonk music with lots of steel and fiddle here in Austin?

gee...i guess i worded that wrong...was just trying to sound ridiculous...i thought everyone knew that was the main, and possibly only, place to hear honky tonk music
in it's authentic form. i really didn't think it would be hard to find. no offense, just a bad choice of words!
guess i won't try to be funny anymore.
[This message was edited by chris ivey on 30 October 2006 at 08:48 PM.]

Y'all should have been here 30 years ago. There was more work than you could possibly imagine. Times have totally changed inside the city. Only two clubs totally traditional country, and a couple that have country acts occasionally. Outside of town there's still some work, but not nearly as much as there used to be.
I realize that the scene here is probably better than most places in the USA, but it ain't like it used to be. Just like Southern California.
