Here is a different take on this Classic
Song. Instead of Waltz Time I put it in
4/4 to accomodate Fingerstyle approach
and it makes for one more good way to
present Steel Guitar as a Solo instrument.
I think anyway? http://members.cox.net/loveridehd4/Roy%20Thomson%20-%20Somewhere%20My%20Love.mp3

Thanks fellas.
Now that I recall.....
Hank Snow recorded this song and did
it in 4/4 also many years ago.

This is a great way to play when you do not
have the band.....which is most of the time
for me.

"I Left My Heart In San Francisco" works great with a swing beat. Jody.

I'll have to try this one out. It's interesting what can be done with a song. I've heard "Make The World Go Away," done jazz style and really cookin', amongst others.

I also recall hearing the late Hal Rugg play the childrens' song "Can She Bake A Cherry Pie Billy Boy," with a Classical arrangement or style and it blew everybody away one year at the St.Louis Show. Anyone rember that?

GOD bless!
