My recording of "Silent Night"

Post by John Bushouse »

Hi all,

I thought I'd post a link to my version of "Silent Night" which I recorded for another forum's music site. There's two ukes on there (a soprano and a tenor), and a resonator guitar. The steel is my 1936-ish 7-string National Electric Hawaiian (pre-New Yorker). I'm in an E6 tuning, E B C# E G# B E, low to high, and the song's in C.

Hope you all enjoy!

John

That was neat. I hope next time you will make your Ukes alot more quiet. It was hard hearing ALL of your playing. Thanks for your post. ray

Right on John! Excellent take on it, sort of a 'Hawaiian marching to Bethlehem' feel!

Ray, try this one. You might be having trouble hearing the 3rd verse harmonics because I missed so many of them.

Nice work John! My wife just walked in and said "Awesome...how can we get that on our Christmas mix CD"...

I'd consider that quite a compliment!

John,
Your second effort did improve the balance and it sounded better.

Thanks for your contribution to this Christmas season.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.
