My Congratulations to Tom also. He is a major factor that hooked me on steel guitar, by making all those records and other steel guitar products available. At one time, I think I had all the albums he had available in his catalog.
Thirty years ago, I couldn't wait to get a little money ahead (which was tough to do back then) and send it off to Tom for a new batch of records, and I still have all of them, as well as most of Toms catalogs he sent out. It was a great thing he did by donating his remaining stock of products to this great Steel Guitar Forum too.

Tom,in the late'70s Joe Wright and I worked in clubs on opposite ends of Printer's Alley...he came into the Carousel Club one night with a stack of magazines and said"you have GOT to check these out!"I kept them for a long time...finally got my own copies from you in St.Louis...still got'em!You should have been in the Hall of Fame years ago...enjoy it!

Congratulations Tom,
Its me, the big banana. I'm unhappy with myself for missing the induction ceramony. I blew my only chance to voice my many objections. (I certainly did not blow it by buying that new Webb amp though. Thank you, thank you, thank you!)
You're everything they said you are and more in my book. Don
[This message was edited by Don McClellan on 04 September 2006 at 08:13 PM.]

Well deserved Tom, after all those years of playing for the Steelers.... wha???? oh, never mind
Seriously, I can't think of anypone else on the West Coast who has promoted PSG, and PSG players to the degree you have. In fact I still have the single pole MSA pickup you mailed me about 20 years ago, on my '70 MSA.
Congrats, dave.

Well, Tom, I'm still sad that you didn't clue me in to this well-deserved award until it was too late for me to be able to attend and glow in your moment of community recognition. But congrats, my friend. It's clear your lifelong efforts at promoting the steel guitar are very appreciated.
I had the honor of being hired by Tom to serve as art & advertising director for Steel Guitarist Magazine. Great guy to work with and for, we were very proud of that publication, and I view it as the dream job of my whole life and career, merging my art and music interests so completely. Gratifying that so many of you STILL enjoy that zine! And you guys have NO idea how much work Bradshaw put into getting that thing out the door!
Way to go, Big Tom!
