Hello everyone,
I am a new member to this forum, finaly..
My teacher, Meine Bruinsma (also member) forched me to join, so I did... ohterwise I am afraid of losing the lessons from him.
I follow lessons now for over 2 years and started last month to join a band that playes oldies, soon we have a gig that will be my first time on steel on stage...
a little bit nervious? YES !!
Meine is a big help to me, but I can sure use so support from the forum.

Welcome and enjoy a whole new world of great people and great information. As far as your gig comming up...just "play it like you own it", the nervousness will leave as soon as the grin takes over... Image

Welcome Rinus, to the world of steelers This is the only place you can ever meet and talk to so many steel players and gain a lot of their knowledge As for your gig remember everyone of us was nervous on their first gig. Have a lot of fun and enjoy it
[This message was edited by Pete Young on 28 August 2006 at 09:10 AM.]

Welcome Rinus. I will never forget my first time playing my steel in public. My right leg was shaking so much it sounded like I had the tremolo turned on my Twin Reverb.

Thanks guys...
It feels like coming home...
Also thanks for the support, even in Dutch, hale goot...
I agree with you that I have the best teachter of the 3 northern provinces of the Netherlands, maybe even further than that,
but more important,I think, is that he became a good friend of mine....
And thru this forum I feel like having friends all over the world.
Thanks again

Rinus
