I have been asked to try and locate this steeler from the Indianapolis area. He was part of the Uncle Bob Hardy and The Happy Valley Folks Group. They had a show called the Hayloft Frolics from 1945 - 1950. Uncle Bob who now lives in Yuma, AZ is putting together a reunion show and trying to locate some of the band members. If you do have any information about Jack Brengle please contact me. Thanks...rj

No idea if this is the right guy or not, but a quick search online for the state of Indiana turned up one possible candidate:

Brengle, John E
1310 Ridgeway Ave
New Albany, IN 47150
812-944-4159

Good luck.

By the way, there's a fascinating bio of Uncle Bob Hardy at this website, which also mentions Hardy bringing a young Bobby Helms to Nashville to audition for Ernest Tubb, and having "Scotty Scott" on steel. Is that you, Scotty? Fess up!

Thanks Jimbeaux, appreciate the effort. Uncle Bob is a character, a real dynamic personality and has some great stories to tell. When he and Bud Isaacs get together it gets even funnier....rj
