Is anyone else on the forum familiar with fellow forum member Ron Kirby's talent? I was lucky enough to get one of his cd's and if you like purity, originality, talent and tone, your gonna really like Ron's material!
I will probably find out like I did about Ted Solensky, that everyone else in the world already knew about him! Ted told me he was just a "weekender". Come to find out, he was just being humble. What a guy and thanks Ted.

Ron Kirby is the king! A wonderful person and a player that is gaining ground rapidly!
If you ever get a chance to meet this guy, don't pass it up. He may turn into your best friend. I know, I've been there!

Hey Bobbe,
It was at your store that I met Ron, along with Mr. Don Helms and my wife and I walked off with a whole bunch of goodies! I still wear the Sho-Bud T shirt every chance I get. Ron states in his liner notes, that he was grateful to you for the use of your studio. If you were the A & R guy, you too did a super job in the mis and master. Great album and great playing. Thanks Bobbee, your the man!

I produced the tracks, hired the musicians, wrote the charts and did the arranging and the mix, but didn't do Ron's parts. He wrote and arranged all his own over dubs and instrumental parts, and very well too!
Ron is quite a guy, as I know you now know.

I met Ron through the jobs section of the forum, so I have had the opportunity to work with him recently and he has become a good friend from the get go. He has been so helpful to me in getting my rig together and I can always call him when I have any question about the psg...and Man, what a great player he is as well. I also have a copy of his CD and frequently enjoy listening to it. I'm really looking forward to working with him more in the future.

Yep, for over 20 years. He used to amaze me when he lived in west Texas, and I enjoyed getting amazed again when I heard the copy of his CD he sent me.
