Ken Mellons' steel player Dapper Dan

Post by Chrissy Corson-Rigsby »

Had the pleasure of catching Ken Mellons in concert in Leroy, IL tonight. Ken and the whole band put on one heck of a great country show. I didn't catch the steel players name, but I know Ken called him Dapper Dan and he played an Emmons. He was great! As a matter of fact, the whole band sounded great. I have always loved Ken Mellons! He's REAL country, which is hard to come by these days. Anyone know the steel player's full name?

Thanks for that, Bobbe. I knew Ken Mellons wasn't all that bad - he was wearing a black Sho-Bud T-shirt! Lucky you for having such a great employee - lucky him for having such a great place to work! Danny and the band sounded great.

Thanks, to everyone for the kind words.
I wish all the towns we played in were as nice as the folks in Leroy.

Danny has been good to me every time I've come to SGN...steel guitar repair 101 lesson every time my Bud comes through there. Maybe I'll see you guys on Thursday.
