Terry Edwards asked, "Are there any blind musicians that have mastered a fretless instrument?"
Who was that young fellow at St. Louis a year or two ago, who was not only blind, he could walk under anybody's guitar and wear it out?

I practice with Bob Hoffnar's intonation drone cd from time to time with my eyes closed or in the dark sometimes. You really find out where you stand when you take your eyes out of the equation, let me tell you. I have found that my ear becomes much, much more sensitive to the finest movements of the bar when I have to rely on my ears and muscle memory alone. Also it makes it fun when you're playing live to be able to look out there and see what's happening...

Joe Wright plays fantastically well, rarely looking at his fretboard. Inspirational to watch him.
