Hey Bob! Got a call from my brother-in-law (Jerry Horner) yesterday and told me about someone from Newcastle U.S.A was wanting to organize something for steel players in this area. I guess since I live in Tuttle America, count me in. I will be more than glad to help in getting this set up if you need any help. You can email me or give me a call at the Tuttle Fire Station.

Bob,

Are you any relation to J.W. Belcher from Webb City, Ok?

I believe that he went by Wilbur Belcher in the phone book & his widow now lives in Ponca City.

He used to make fiddles.

Gerald, welcome to the group and I will be contacting you very soon about the 24th meeting...Thanks guys, I think this is gonna happen. Keep spreadin the word and lets get this to happen. So far we got a lot more musicians than steelers, but thats ok....we can use the converts. Image

Just as soon as I move from Lawton to south Texas you start a central Okie steelin group. Oh well I hope Jim Harper keeps you guys straight. Best of luck! Would love to visit you guy once you get things rolling. If you guys get to Houston you are welcome to stop by the SETSGA. 1st Sunday of the month in Katy, Tx.

Say hi to Barry Thomas if any of you see him. Looking at getting him to make me a Extended E9th SD10.

Great to hear you are getting something going again in Central OK. I remember when we met at Chuck Pine's place with the COSGA and there were a number of pickers there.
Organize and work together. If I can be of help, let me know.

Bob, I was talking with Ken Collins last week and he told me that you were trying to get a group together. At time I did not belong to the forum so I sent you an e-mail direct. Didn't hear from you. I am glad you have scheduled a meeting and hope to be there. I am not a professional, just like to try. Need a lot of help. Look forward to meeting you and the guys.
