The picture is kind of small, but this is most of our Praise band at Christian Life Church, in Austin, Tx. The drummer was cut out of the picture, and we've since added another guitar player, and re-arranged our stage. These are really good musicians and it is a lot of fun playing with them.

What a great topic!

This is a picture from the Underground Coffee Shop, which is right under the Forum office in downtown Cloverdale.

The band is Open Hearts. The picture was taken in 2004.
Image

This is a lot of fun. I get to put a face to your names and see you all in action.
Makes the forum seem more friendly.
(not that it seemed unfriendly at all, You know what I mean) Im trying to find a Always Pastsy Cline show photo to post. So far no luck.

Here's a picture from Groningen, Netherlands. It's Derek Truck, Sonny Landreth and I playing with the Derek Trucks band.

Image

Here's another with the full band, including Buddy Cage and Johan Jansen om pedal steel.

Image sorry for the double post. This was my first time to post a picture, and it took a while for this dumb ol hillbilly to figure it out. The picture was taken last year at the 50th aniversary of the Ozark Country Jubilee. The guitar player is the legendary Speedy Haworth, 85 years old and still plays great. He was on the original show that broadcast from Springfield Mo. back in the 1950's. He has great stories from back in those days
[This message was edited by Jack Musgrave on 04 December 2005 at 09:20 AM.]

Darryl:
In reply to your query about the evil European 220 current. Back in the early '60 when I was stationed in the Azores,we had a club band that played the three service clubs (Officer, NCO, and Airman) and we had American electricity. 110 VAC 60 Hz.

Once we went outside the gate the world changed. We had to use a transformmer to cut the voltage down to 110. Also the local current was 50Hz, which our amps weren't used to. Also theirs wouldn't ground like ours did, and we played on a dry surface, with rubber soles, and never, ever touched anything else metal. This was 40+ years ago. Maybe it is better now.

Hey Joseph, that's a pretty Steel! Is that first picture one of you using a new "slant" (hee hee)... And if I'm not mistaken, in the picture of Chris Ivey, that arm playing the Mandolin belongs to the one and only Ken Burnett, of the Amee Chapman Band (Big Finish). One of these days we'll have to share a venue too.

Hey David-
Good call on Ken's arm!
We had the pleasure of Ken sitting in with us a while back. Heckuva picker!
I keep meaning to get out to one of your shows, but I'm consumed by all things baby-related at this point.
Regards,
Joe

Here's a tip for when the baby arrives.... their fingers are too small for picks until at least two years of age :-), but they can tromp around on the pedals.
