Jim Gorrie; Na; that's fine my friend. I just didn't get a chance to rehearse that band (eventhough Lonnie is so much DA'MAN), so it's not the whole depiction of what I wanted; but then again that's Picky Ricky talking...and it's actually just fine.
I'm glad you found it and posted it, it brings back some great memories of that "blue darlin" and Ed Fulawka.
Also a chance for folks to see and hear; "why I play steel guitar"; as it has always meant the whole world to me, in every way.
Oh and speaking on my Lloyd Green influence..ha..I guess I should share more.
This is a preview cut from a upcoming LIVE CD to be released this summer. This is the band I play with called "miss leslie & her juke-jointers" www.missleslie.com
This is the Other Ricky and will expose just how much influence Lloyd Green has had on me and the rest of the band....ah...ha.
BARELY HANGIN ON TO ME
Enjoy

Ricky ~ had a listen to some of the stuff on the Miss Leslie website -- some really good sounds coming out of there.
I'm just wondering when you're going to lay down some more stuff for us to listen to on youtube (or similar accessable site) ~ and don't hold out on us next time !
. . . and, BTW that's a really cool home page on the Miss Leslie website ~ takes me back to the 50's/60's

Ricky ~ as well as playing with an enormous amount of feeling, you also exhibit a lot of visual expression with all that smiling.
Just sitting watching you reminds me of articles written about "stony-faced steel players lost in concentration . . ." -- you certainly don't fall into that category.
Keep posting them clips ~ we need them on here.

Funny ... when I purchased Ricky's old guitar, I expected it to come with a smile and a bag full of licks and tricks. Alas, it didn't ... instead, I have to work really hard to tame it. So most of the time I tend to look like this:
All levity aside: Ricky is the best in my book! It's always a pleasure to listen and watch him play. His love for the instrument really shines through.
