The first pedal steel player to make me turn my head and go, "What the hell was that?"

A lot of us miss Jimmy; IMO, a great guy and a blessing that he came along in this life.

As I told Jimmie's Mrs. when I ordered the new cd.

When I was just a dobro player I knew of 3 electric players.
Jerry Byrd, Buddy Emmons and Jimmie Crwaford.

He had a higher profile than most for a Boston picker.
And look at the great company he was with!.
I am very glad I got to meet him twice at ISGC's.

I was fortunate to have attended a 3 day seminar given by Jimmy and Scotty in Norway in the mid-'80s. Jimmy was both an accomplished teacher and very funny guy. Scotty, of course, was Scotty. Never forget that experience and am appreciative of the Norwegians for organizing it and to Jimmy and Scotty for having been there. steve t

Jimmy was one of my idols, and I told him so when we met at the convetion many years ago.
He was truly one of the all time greats, and he had a style and sound all his own.

We've lost too many giants in the last few years.
