Welcome to the Forum, Bob.

I found your "misplaced posts" by searching for your user name.

Posts sink to the bottom, if there are no recent responses. If you, or anyone, posts a reply it goes to the top. You should only have one active post per topic, or confusion results.

Hey Bob, What do you think, Contact those who have contacted you, set a date according to what these folks can make, and a place to meet, and go for a first showing, and take it from there? Post the date for everyone else to see, and see what happens?

Bob, your initiative in forming a steel guitar club in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area is exemplary. I have not previously replied to your post because I quit playing in 2002.

But, I remember about 15 years ago when someone else attempted to form a local club (such as the one in Tulsa) but it died on the vine for lack of participation. I wish you success in overcoming the apathy and I support you in spirit if not in participation!

Good luck my friend,

Hey Bob,

If you're thinking about a meeting room, the JOHNNIES CHARCOAL BROILER's around OKC have good meeting rooms and some of the best store-bought chickenfried steak and gravy around here. Should be available most week nights.

Does BEST WESTERN in Chickasha have a good meeting room? (that way Jimmy wouldn't have to drive a zillion miles )

If a meeting would coincide with my visits to the family in OKC (2-4 times a year), I'll come and cheer. (I'm not accomplished enough to justify hassling with the airlines and a PSG.)

OK, Ben they'll be plenty of "stuff" to play (but you know the pick n bar rule I have played in the center at Tuttle on a regular basis, would be probably just about right size (and cheap too) for a initial meeting. We can discuss possible rotating area meetings to help out with the mileage issue at 1st meeting. I will send everyone an email probably by friday with the particulars...Bob
